The Batesville High School tennis team won both matches at the New Castle Invitational to claim the title. Below are our match results from the New Castle Invitational from today. We planned in two matches: Vs. Blue River Valley 1S Jevan Smith defeated Brody Jarvis 6-1, 6-2 2S Carson Meyer defeated Grant B. 6-1, 6-4 3S Max Walter defeated Parker U. 6-1, 6-0 1D Will Patterson & Wes Peters defeated Nolan R./Evan B. 6-1, 6-2 2D Eli Doll & Coleman West lost to Jackson J./Garrett M. 3-6, 5-7 The Bulldogs won their opening round match 4-1 to advance to the championship round vs. New Castle. Vs. New Castle 1S Jevan Smith defeated Cameron Hastings 6-4, 7-5 2S Carson Meyer defeated Cormac Stilwell 6-1, 6-3 3S Max Walter lost to Scott Gilman 5-7, 3-6 1D Will Patterson & Wes Peters defeated Dylan Blackford & Kaeson Amman 3-6, 6-3 10-5 2D Eli Doll & Coleman West defeated Braiden Denney & Kade Siewert 6-4, 7-5 The Bulldogs defeated the New Castle Trojans 4-1 and were crowned the NC invitational champs!! The Bulldogs improve to 3-1 (0-1 EIAC) on the season
