Batesville High School

The Batesville Bulldogs traveled to Franklin County for an away conference match. Batesville controlled possession throughout the first half, but entered halftime scoreless. The Bulldogs continued to set the tempo in the second half, combining passes and creating more opportunities at goal, according to coach Kyle Hunteman. With 14:28 remaining, Griffin Koester connected with Ryan McGuire, who found RJ Sherman for a composed finish to give Batesville the lead. At the 3:40 mark, Isaac Butz delivered a corner that McGuire finished with a one-touch volley. Finally, with 38 seconds remaining, Henry Hornberger played a ball into the box that deflected to Henry Candelot, who lofted it into the net to secure the 3-0 conference victory.
