Batesville High School

The Batesville Bulldogs C-Team opened the season by shutting out North Decatur 32-0. On the first play of the game, Jared Zins delivered a 70-yard return, immediately giving Batesville excellent field position. The Bulldogs quickly capitalized, with George Miller scoring on a touchdown run to put Batesville in front. Batesville’s defense consistently pressured the North Decatur offense throughout the night, with Wes Meyer recording two sacks and Karter Weber and Abram Powner each adding a sack. The Bulldogs also came up with several big plays on defense. Colton Smith recovered a fumble, while Powner capped off his strong defensive night by returning an interception for a touchdown. Batesville continued to find the end zone through the air. Tucker Suddath connected with Jonah Heil for two touchdowns and Jared Zins also found Heil for a touchdown. Emmit Rogier added a successful two-point conversion, helping Batesville build its 32-point total.
