Batesville High School

The Batesville Bulldogs hosted South Dearborn in a tightly contested match and emerged 4-3 winners in overtime. South Dearborn struck first, but Batesville responded quickly when William Newell found Trenton Taylor, who dribbled through the defense and finished beyond the keeper. Less than a minute later, Ryan McGuire controlled the ball over his defender, sprinted down the line, and finished the 1v1 to give Batesville the lead. Taylor added his second goal of the night with another composed finish to make it 3-1. South Dearborn battled back with two goals before halftime, sending the teams into the break tied 3-3. Neither side found the deciding goal in the second half or first overtime. In the second overtime, McGuire won possession in midfield and played a through ball to Ronan Post, who drove toward goal and finished to secure a one goal victory for the Bulldogs.
