Batesville High School

The Batesville Bulldogs hosted New Palestine High School in a challenging matchup in the rain Thursday night. The Dragons posted a 4-1 victory. New Palestine opened the scoring with a strike from around the 18-yard box before adding a second on a wide attack and cross that was headed into the net. The visitors added another goal before Batesville responded when Ronan Post drove a low corner into the box that Henry Hornberger finished to put the Bulldogs on the board. Heavy rain moved in during the first half and continued throughout the remainder of the match. New Palestine added one goal in the second half, as Batesville fell 4-1.
